Joy Black, RPA-C has a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Med from The University of Vermont. She continued her education by attending the Albany Medical College Physician Assistant Program. Joy has been a Physician Assistant since 1994.

Joy Black, RPA-C has a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Med from The University of Vermont. She continued her education by attending the Albany Medical College Physician Assistant Program. Joy has been a Physician Assistant since 1994 in the Capital Region in several surgical specialties. Throughout the years, Joy also practiced within family practice, ENT and pain management.

She is a question writer for the PA board exam given by the NCCPA who regulates the certification of PA’s in the US.

Joy grew up in Burlington, VT and is a dressage enthusiast and a USDFL graduate.

Joy joined The Center for Rheumatology’s Scotia-Glenville office in September of 2018. She is currently providing care to many of our established patients, as well as accepting new patients.
