Dr. Lopez is a graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine and New York Medical College at Valhalla, NY; he completed his residency at St. Claire’s Hospital in Schenectady (2008), where he was Chief Resident. He also holds a master’s degree in Public Health from SUNY Albany. Dr. Lopez is Board certified in Family Medicine and has a rich background in this field at Ellis, Albany Med, and Landmark Medical. Through his career, he has diagnosed and treated patients with rheumatological conditions. He also served as Medical Director at CDPHP for five years. Dr. Lopez has served as volunteer Physician for local and international sporting events and has provided medical care to communities in extreme poverty through medical mission trips. Dr. Lopez also has extensive experience treating geriatric patients. He is also a former preceptor for the Albany Medical Center Physician Assistant program and the Ellis Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Lopez is fluent in Spanish and English. Dr. Lopez lives in Glenmont with his family, where he is active with his children’s sports programs.
