Richard Adams RPA-C

Richard is a former marine and a registered physician's assistant with extensive background in neurosurgery. In August of 2018, Richard joined The Center for Rheumatology. Richard is currently seeing established and new patients in our Albany office.
Richard is a native of Saratoga Springs, New York. After graduating from high school, he served six years in the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marines, he served as an air traffic controller and as a motor vehicle operator. He spent time in California, North Carolina, and Okinawa, Japan. He reached the rank of Sergeant (E-5) and was honorably discharged in September of 1998.
Richard was accepted to East Carolina University and earned a BS in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology. After graduation in March of 2000, Rich worked at DSM Pharmaceuticals in the environmental quality control department as well as on advanced research for Multiple Sclerosis at the Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. In the spring of 2002, Richard continued his education at East Carolina University for Physician Assistants studies and earned a BS in this field in July 2004.
After successfully passing his National board exams, Richard returned home to upstate New York and started his PA career at the Spine Center at St. Peter’s hospital in Albany, New York. At the Spine Center, he gained invaluable experience as a Neurosurgical PA and subsequently has worked to continue his professional growth in Neurosurgery with Albany Troy Neurosurgical Associates, Northeast Neurosurgery LLC, and Capital Region Neurosurgery. In August of 2018, Richard joined The Center for Rheumatology’s Albany location. Richard is currently seeing established and new patients in our Albany location.
